Juara Beach Resort

Juara Beach Resort is a budget resort hotel at west of Juara Village, offering accommodation in wooden chalets on garden and beachfront. The resort’s main complex houses a popular Chinese restaurant with large open deck facing the beach – ideal for breezy dining with a view of the sea. The chalets are semi-detached units built on stilts in traditional ‘Kampung’ style.

Nstled on a grassy field surrounded by coconut trees, the chalet rooms are are well appointed and feature modern comforts such as air-conditioning and attached bathrooms with hot shower. 4WD transport between Tekek-Juara can be arranged for guests.

Rainbow Chalet

Rainbow Chalets is a budget inn at Juara Village, located along a peaceful beachfront with sweeping views of the bay. Providing accommodation in rustic wooden chalets, the rooms are basic but clean and come with air-conditioning, attached bathroom with hot water shower and private balconies. The hotel offers motorcyle, bicycle and kayak rental, but restaurants, shops and other conveniences lie within easy reach around the village.

Aman Tioman Beach Resort

Aman Tioman Beach Resort is a boutique hotel at Paya, located conveniently right after the jetty along the village beachfront. Situated within easy reach of hawker stalls, duty-free shops and convenience stores, the hotel provides family accommodation in 135 units equipped with modern amenities that include air-conditioning, LCD television, attached bathroom with hot water shower and mini bar.

The Deluxe rooms are available in twin, triple and family configurations at 40 m² in size each, providing a combination of king, queen and twin beds depending on type. Island-hopping tour services by boat can be arranged by the hotel, taking guests to popular attractions around Tioman. There’s also a dive center and speciliased fishing trips to sea organised by angling experts.

1511 Coconut Grove

1511 Coconut Grove is a boutique hotel providing chalet accommodation at east of Juara Village, which is located on the other side of Tioman Island from Tekek. Facing a pretty beachfront with lush greenery, each villa offers a contemporary setting inspired by traditional village home architecture, complete with stilts, thatched roof and private balcony deck.

All rooms come with air-conditioning, ceiling fan, writing table, attached bathroom with rain shower, and free wifi Internet access, in a choice of twin or queen beds. To reach the hotel, visitors need to make an overland transfer by 4WD from the nearest airport or jetty at Tekek Village, at a cost of MYR70-100 (negotiable) per trip.

Embassy Hotel

Embassy Hotel is a budget inn at Mersing town, located along the main road at Jalan Ismail among shophouses. Located within moderately quick walking distance to Mersing jetty, the hotel provides basic accommodation in simple rooms equipped with standard amenities that include air-conditioning, television sets and attached bathrooms with hot water shower.

This makes the hotel ideal for an overnight transit stay before heading to Pulau Tioman and other nearby islands by ferry. From the hotel’s doorstep, restaurants, supermarkets, banks and other facilities sit conveniently among the neighbouring shophouses, while wifi Internet access is provided free in rooms.

Tioman Dive Resort

Tioman Dive Resort is a budget hotel attached to B&J Dive Center at Air Batang, also known as ABC Village located after Tekek in the north. The hotel serves mostly divers taking courses at their dive center, but is open to public as well. Available in twin, triple and quad configurations, all rooms come with air-conditioning, LCD television with satellite channels and attached bathroom with hot water shower.

There are no other facilities, but restaurants, sundry shops and entertaiment can be found in the vicinity. Finally, there’s a jungle trek that leads to Salang Village which can be accessed at the edge of the beach towards north of Tioman Island.

Paya Beach Resort

Paya Beach Resort is a family hotel at Paya Village, nestled along its eastern shore. Composed of chalets and duplex units inspired by traditional village design, the hotel provides accommodation in boutique or budget rooms equipped with modern facilities including air-conditioning and attached bathrooms with hot water shower or jacuzzi bathtubs.

A popular hotel catering mostly for families and couples from Singapore, most of the chalets are nestled along the beach and garden area. Some units are tucked away at the back around a pond with pretty views of the rainforest, hills and mountains. Some of the facilities here include a function hall, spa, restaurant, pool, gym, dive center and tour desk, with Internet access available.

Bamboo Hiill Chalets

Bamboo Hill Chalets is a budget resort at Air Batang, perched along the hilly cape at east end of the village where the jungle trail begins to Panuba Inn/Monkey Bay. A popular backpacker hotel with limited units, the wooden chalets occupy an elevated positing facing a panoramic view of the beach, fringed by dense clumps of trees, shrubs, flowers and boulders.

Room facilities include ceiling fans, attached bathroom with cold shower, mosquito nets and coils, bug spray, sheets, towels, soap and blankets (on request). A basic choice for accommodation, the hotel still appeals to tourists due to its secluded environment, dramatic view and rich natural ambience from the surrounding jungle.

Bayu Tioman Chalet

Bayu Tioman Chalet is a budget hotel towards the southern edge of Genting Village, composed of beautiful timber chalets inspired by traditional Malay village architecture. The accommodation is divided into Standard, Deluxe and Family Chalets – all with air-conditioning. Each home has their own little verandahs, with some of the units facing the beach and sea directly.

Others are nestled in rows at the back towards the dense jungle. Situated at a quiet spot fringed by rainforest, the surroundings are peaceful and cooling, with a frequent sea breeze that inspires the resort’s name. The hotel also organises a range of overnight packages for visitors.

Village Chalet

Formerly Tamara Resort, The Village Chalet is a budget hotel at Teluk Mentawak in Juara Village, accessible by road from Tekek. Nestled along a pretty beachfront east of the central cape, the hotel provides comfortable accommodation in simple but colourful chalets equipped with modern amenities that include air-conditioning, attached bathrooms with hot water shower and even complimentary wifi Internet access.

There is a restaurant that serves local cuisine with seafood barbeque, common lounge with karaoke set, bicycle rental and island transfer service between Juara and Tekek by 4WD vehicle. Formerly known as Cabin Bay Resort, the hotel also arranges fishing trips and island tours by boat.
