Damai Tioman Resort

Damai Tioman Resort is one of the largest budget hotels at Genting Village, featuring accommodation for up to 200 visitors at a time. The hotel provides a variety of customised two to three night packages for guests that include two-way ferry transfer, welcome drink, breakfast, lunch, dinner (with barbeque) and snorkeling trips to he marine park, Tekek village and Renggis island.

The chalets are tucked in tight rows along a steep hill slope, but the main building houses a breezy restaurant that opens out to a nice view of the sea. The beach is quite rocky, but the waters are clear, warm and inviting. An ideal place to enjoy the beauty of Genting along the beachfront.

Nazri Place

Nazri’s Place is the largest hotel of Air Batang, offering modern accommodation in well-appointed rooms at the western tip of the village. Most of the rooms are housed in a double-storey complex at the back of the resort, along with a few chalet and longhouse units, on a large, grassy clearing lined with small trees and shrubs.

The front of the resort faces a beach area that hugs the side of a small cape, with a clear expanse of sand uncluttered by rocks and pebbles, unlike other stretches along the village. Here, guests can relax under gazebos and incline on benches with a view of the calming sea, crashing gently on the shore.

Panuba Inn

Panuba Inn is a beach resort nestled with a secluded bay west of Air Batang, accessible by ferry, speedboat or a relatively short jungle trail from the village. This beautiful landscape is the hotel’s focal attraction, with a stunning landscape of boulders and rocks that hide numerous coral reefs and colourful fishes beneath a crystal clear blue sea.

Almost the entire resort lies stretched across a steep hill that feeds into the bay, while villas and chalets tower almost precariously on stilts. The resort has an abundance of accommodation, ranging from basic fan rooms to more opulent units, each with a private balcony that opens out to a fantastic view of the island and sea.

Berjaya Tioman Resort

Berjaya Tioman Resort is the largest hotel on Pulau Tioman, situated on a vast 200-acre ground with spacious beachfront and lush jungle surroundings at the western edge of Tekek Village. A modern four star resort, there are large facilities and amenities provided, including a ballroom, function halls, dive center, spa, 18-hole golf course, outdoor team building circuit, swimming pools and various restaurants.

Accommodation consists of quaint chalets and duplex structures inspired by traditional village architecture, perched on stilts along the beachfront or garden. Suitable for a complete family vacation, the hotel has a free transfer service from the airport or jetty at Tekek.

Mersing Beach Resort

Mersing Beach Resort is a budget hotel at Air Papan, a secluded beachside destination 10km north of Mersing town. Composed of low-rise blocks around a swimming pool, the hotel provides family accommodation in cosy home-like rooms that feature modern amenities such as air-conditioning, LCD television sets and attached bathrooms with hot water showers.

Facilities for guests include a swimming pool with mini slide, function hall for small events and meetings, barbeque pits on the garden and bicycle rental. Ideal for a quiet getaway, the hotel is surrounded by traditional villages and paddy fields while facing a pretty beachfront with views of neighbouring islands.

Aguna Resort

Aguna Resort is a budget hotel tucked away in the countryside of Genting Village. The hotel provides accommodation in rustic chalets of traditional village architecture, nestled on a quiet garden space fringed with fruit trees, shrubs and creeping vegetation. All rooms feature air-conditioning, verandah spaces and attached bathrooms with hot water shower.

A restaurant serves local and Western cuisine at the main building, with seafood barbeques available in evening. The beach can be reached a moderate distance away on foot, while the hotel offers wifi Internet access at public areas along with organised boat excursions around the island.

Marina Bay Resort

Marina Bay Resort (formerly Ayer Raja Tioman Resort) is a budget hotel at Genting Village, perched on a large hill slope facing the beach and sea. Providing accommodation in wooden chalets of traditional village architecture, the rooms come with air-conditioning, attached bathroom with hot water shower, beds for twin, quad or six occupants, and a private balcony deck.

While lacking facilities, just outside the resort are a convenient number of restaurants, sundry shops and dive centers nestled along the beachfront of Genting Village. Finally, the resort management can arrange island-hopping, snorkelling and other holiday activities at Tioman Island upon request.

Salang Indah Resort

Salang Indah Resort is the largest hotel at Salang, offering budget accommodation in 77 rooms across traditional wooden chalets scattered along a hill and beach, with several clusters of sea villas that sit on stilts directly above the water. There is a large choice of accommodation; between fan and air-conditioning, double or quad occupancy, garden or sea views, and more.

Located near the eastern edge of the bay, the resort has a small cape at its center, composed of large granite boulders that circle around the immediate shallows to form a small pool within the larger sea. From the resort, there are public facilities nearby, including convenience stores, dive centers and a bar.

Mersing Hotel

Mersing Hotel is an established budget inn at Mersing town, located along Jalan Dato Timur within quick walking distance to the ferry terminal. The hotel provides basic bu comfortable accommodation in clean rooms equipped with modern amenities that come with a choice of fan, air-conditioning, LCD television or common/attached bathrooms with hot water shower.

Suitable for a convenient overnight rest before catching the ferry to Tioman Island in morning, the hotel is situated above a traditional Chinese coffeeshop – ideal for local breakfast – and other restaurants, convenience stores and modern facilities within town. Tioman Cabana is a bed and breakfast inn at Tekek Village, situated across a pretty beachfront. Catering for backpackers and large groups, the hotel provides basic sea-facing accommodation cooled by natural sea breeze with attached bathrooms and hot water shower. The hotel has a popular restaurant called Beach Bistro that serves local and Western food with nighlife band entertainment in a chill lounge setting.
